If Vincent Van Gogh
Showed up as a Ghost –
He would probably paint
The flowers he loved most,
Then we could ask:
“Did you cut off your ear?
And were you drinking
Or was there too much beer?”
Poor Vincent Van Gogh
Died all alone
Except for the sunsets
That shined over his home,
A little chair and a tiny bed –
Then just before he died!
I wonder what he thought,
And was he full of pride?
He slept all alone
In his tiny one room –
Little money did he make,
But he could see the moon,
And most of his painting
Were scattered all around,
And yes that is so sad
When heartaches are found!
You wouldn’t know it
About the red haired gent,
But he acted a little weird
Everywhere he went –
Painting lilies by the pond,
And each stroke was with ease,
Never knowing his work lives on!
