THE ARK OF SALVATION

The days of Noah are returning to the earth,

And also will the coming of the Son of Man!

For as in the days before the flood . . .

They were eating and drinking, and giving

Marriage, until Noah entered the Ark –

Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot!

They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold,

They planted, they built, but on that day Lot

Went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone!

Even so will it be in the day when the Son of

Man is revealed! (21 judgements of Revelation)

“People will curl their lip,” and the mountains

Don’t care! Scoffers will come in the last days,

And saying: “Where is the promise of His coming?”

For they willfully forget: that by the word of God!

The world that then existed perished, being flooded

With water. A corrupt generation!

“The wickedness of man – every intent of the

Thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”

So I have to ask: “Do you see the same today?”

Are we just going alone with the herd?

Are we so caught up in the world that we are blind?

So this I plead to you little children:

Love not the world, neither the things in the world,

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof:

But he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.

                                                                      Amen!

THE WORLD IS DRUNK

The world is upside down,

And it appears no one gives a damn!

Take a look at our society

The world is drunk! There is no sobriety!

This generation is so damn dumb,

And to the left's agenda they have succumbed!

They don't have enough sense to get out of the rain

Cell phones and microwaves have penetrated their brain!

When the Baby Boomers are gone

They will have to survive on their own!

In their world, God plays no part

Profoundly, evil is stored in their heart

So all that's left is for us to pray,

And hope we can live for another day!

The world is upside down,

And it appears no one gives a damn!

COME ONE COME ALL

In the crossroads of life we stand

Broken, like a used rubber band –

The forest from the trees we can’t see:

“It’s our right if we take a knee!”

We will demand an eye for an eye,

So let the weak and humble cry!

We could care less about the poor,

America is now an open door!

Come one, come all, it’s a free pass,

And if you don’t like it, kiss our ass!

This is America! We will give it away

Look around – it’s a brand new day!

We will give you the finger as we pass,

And we will pitch a tent on your grass

The land of the free will soon not be!

So stand aside people – look at me

We are coming like it or not –

All the freebies – we like them a lot!

CIRCADIAN RHYTHMS

I came from the light into the dark,

And the stresses of life brings no rest –

Behavioral changes I now embark

It is far worse than a calculus test!

I turn to food, but I’m not satisfied –

A game of handball has its reward,

But feelings of anxiety and fear collide!

Then the hot sun pierced like a sword –

A Friday night poker game with friends,

A social setting surely will help . . .

But again the darkness never ends!

My pillow is ringing wet where I slept –

The circles of a day into the night

As my mind tries to make things right!

HE LOVES US

We listen to the sound of the wind

As it tangles our hair . . .

Then it slowly moves to the meadow

Where flowers toss to and fro . . .

But no one know where the wind hides

Yes, only God knows –

So I have to ask! “Out of the blue,”

We feel this cool breeze upon our face,

And then, in a split second it’s gone!

No! We cannot explain the unknown!

You see, it’s a gift from God . . .

O how this brings tears to my eyes:

“On a hot summer day I’ve asked for

For a cool breeze and God responded!”

We have to be aware of our surroundings,

So stop, and just listen to the wind . . .

What is God telling us, “He loves us?”

REIGN ABOVE ALL

The tangled minds of men . . .

They are devious! Honor they have none!

Power and greed is their God –

They take from others no matter the cost!

As if their egos’ are on steroids!

They are taken over by the Devil himself –

Everyday their goal is to grab all they can,

And when the day is done they find no rest!

Security is only in what they possess …

A tangled mind that evil has to own!

No time to enjoy a sunrise or a sunset –

It’s just a world filled with the lust of riches,

A big house, a luxury car, a fat bank account!

It’s all for the glory of, “look at me!”

And don’t you wish that you were me?

“Blessings to me, dear Lord,” they will boast!

In our ivory tower we will reign above all –

You see, the least privileged people matter not!

But in men’s arrogance he has forgotten:

“Everyone has an appointed time to die!”

WORTH KNOWING

The wind, as I stand in the meadow,

The flowers are covered with dew,

O my heart cries out of such beauty,

Then for a moment I think of you!

When the Red Hawk sores above . . .

And I wonder if I am in his view?

Here my troubles are gone forever,

Then for a moment I think of you!

The meadow is beautiful, O so true!

And soon this day will be through –

I wonder if the wind knows my heart

Then for a moment I think of you!

Flowers, in the bright sun growing,

But loving you was worth knowing!

LOVE EVERYONE

As I look through my window

The wind is blowing so soft –

Trees swaying back and forth

   Then a leaf is aloft!

Dawn is opening up the sky,

My heart beats low and faint –

Whatever today may bring . . .

   I’ll file no complaint!

I’ll take each day at a time

   Because life is sweet –

To me it’s a simple choice

   Love everyone you meet!

Through my window I view today –

I’ll not let troubles get in my way!

SOPHOS

You never know:

In our midst, or far away, sitting quietly,

Is an ordinary man, chosen by God –

He carries himself in time and space;

Unknowingly, to all that are around;

His demeanor is like an angel walking in grace,

Wherever his feet touch the ground.

He is positive and calm, and follows the light

His eyes are sharing at heaven above –

The troubles of this world are not in his sight,

And when night falls he is filled with love.

Wise is a man that walks with God!

He knows in his heart this is not his home,

And each step he makes – wherever he may trod;

He is assured he is never alone!

BEGINNING OF SORROWS

Good morning Lord, it’s me again

I think it’s time we talked –

I know You have to be sad . . .

It appears a lot of Your children have gone mad!

We are living in a world consumed with sin –

I know You said to be calm in the storm

That You are still in control,

But Lord, You never said it would be this hard!

I know I need to turn off all of the noise . . .

And turn my attention to You

Open up Your precious words and then rejoice!

For in my heart and mind I know that You know –

I know Lord – You said these things must happen

Before Your return, and we are not to worry!

Thank You Lord! I just needed to vent –

Of course You have everything under control!

I’ll turn my eyes from the world and focus on You,

Your words, Your precious words are always true!

Amen!

“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See

that you are not troubled; for all these things must

come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will

rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes

in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”

SLEEP MY LOVE

Sleep, my love, lie still in my arms,

I will protect you this night –

I am the guardian of your Castle,

And you are always in my sight!

Gently, I will draw you close to me,

Hear the night sounds flee from thee,

My love, so sweet, your heart I see,

And here your world is right!

Sleep, my love, lie still in my arms,

I am your prince charming . . .

And to most that maybe alarming,

And now your battery is charging!

“Yes, love, all that you cannot see –

Listen to my heart – it beats for thee.”

UNSCENTED

Unscented? Yes! –

But I can smell your pheromones,

Maybe it’s released by your hormones,

That sets my receptors on fire!

Secreted within my brain’s desire –

By laws nature it entices a man,

And I am vulnerable to your command!

Erogenous zones cry out for more,

And the needs in me I cannot ignore –

Unscented? Yes! –

But the smell of you I cannot resist!

I’m lured to your web – I’ll take the risk –

You ask, define love’s law,

But in passion I cannot find a flaw!

NEVER REGRET

As the hair rises on your neck

You think, “O what the heck!”

Then your blood begins to warm

It’s like honey bees in a swarm –

Your pupils start to enlarge . . .

Like a bull beginning to charge!

Then your mouth becomes dry

Your every emotion wants to cry –

Muscles begin to feel tight . . .

But now you’re too weak to fight!

It’s as though your skin is on fire

You’re over taken by desire . . .

Unknowingly the sheets are wet

A moment you will never regret!

A WATCHFUL EYE

As night falls we try to sleep,

But God will never slumber –

He always has a watchful eye,

As He rides upon the thunder!

Guarding us as we are sleeping,

And hears us when we are weeping,

And all the promises He is keeping!

The dawn awakes from the night,

And the sun rises from behind the hill

Then our day is in full sight . . .

To look after His children is God’s will!

It is written: “We are never alone,”

And He forgives us for all we did wrong,

For you see – this world is not our home!

TOO LATE TO CRY

Along the long roads of time,

I stop, I look, and I clear my mind –

A lot of questions, and I don’t why,

But I guess time just goes on by.

I enjoy a glass of wine by candlelight,

It just seems to make the world right –

In the meadow the wind begins to lie,

But I guess time just goes on by!

The nights always brings a quiet hush,

And this old world is not in a rush –

After a bottle of wine I’m pretty high,

But I guess time just goes on by!

I think of life and where I’ve been,

And I wonder how it will all end –

Then I hang my head and want to cry,

But I guess time just goes on by!

We are all given the same time in a day,

And it’s up to us how we choose to play –

There’ll always be dark clouds in the sky,

But I guess time just goes on by!

Sometimes we win – sometimes we fail,

The water we drink is from our own well –

And this I can assure you, we all will die,

Then reality! “It will be too late to cry!”

I WAS WRONG

Often I think of her eyes

Blue as a coral sea –

Often my heart wants to cry,

And for reasons I know not why,

Maybe it’s just sadness in me!

But time sings its own song,

And to yesterday I have to yield:

      “Those memories come at will,

And now I have to admit I did her wrong.”

To everyone we cannot always please,

And my tears now flow like streams,

O the thoughts of her will surely tease,

Of a time when love came with ease

Is now a remnant of faded dreams!

But time sings its own song,

And to yesterday I have to yield:

      “Those memories come at will,

And now I have to admit I did her wrong.”

I can only look back when times were good,

And love was good, and she loved me –

And I would love her again if I could

And if I ask for forgiveness she would,

And the love in my eyes she’d see!

But time sings its own song,

And to yesterday I have to yield:

      “Those memories come at will,

And now I have to admit I did her wrong.”

WE HAVE TO DANCE

I know a place in my heart

   Where love fell apart,

And yes it still hurts . . .

   And again tonight it’ll start!

Like a mist falling from above,

   But sadness doesn’t know

The pain of losing at love . . .

But onward I have to go!

I have hope – I still have faith,

But I need to let it all go –

Another love will take her place,

And my heart will heal I know!

“With love we have to take a chance,

And in despair we still have to dance!”
