Be strong, O heart! Be brave, and tender!
To this wretched world you have to render –
Patience, be patient,
Cry out to God on your knees,
For it’s only Him you can ever please!
O heart! O heart! It’s okay to cry,
It all comes to an end by and by –.
Relax, relax,
In order to chop wood you’ll need an axe,
Only assurance in life is death and tax!
We race through life – full steam ahead!
But life is never a rose bed –
Endure, endure,
Nothing in life is sure,
Resist the world and its endless lure!
