DARKNESS IN A HEART

 

   O the heartaches, O the hell,

      Through storms, and the pain,

   O this sadness, O well . . .

      In moments when I go insane!

   Yes I do mean everything,

   That a sad heart has to claim –

   I know this sadness no can see,

   But the same it lives in me!

   Darkness in a heart runs deep,

   And sometimes it needs to wept,

   The taste of life can be bitter,

   And I look at things to consider:

First, if you were only here . . .

Then these heartaches I’d never fear!
