MEN WILL LIE

 

Aware! Aware, girls, lying on your back!

You thought it was fun! A turn in the sack!

But was there pleasure in being used?

It’s only yourself that you can accuse!

Emotions’ that are deep as you lie still!

You should have said stop, but you yield –

Memories on your grid that will never die, –

You thought it was love, but men will lie!

Aware! Aware, girls, lying in the sack!

You’re giving a piece you’ll never get back!

But in the throes of love – try to find rest . . .

An innocent mind is when love is the best!

When feeling weary lying in bed . . .

Remember not the lies that men have said!
