AT DAY'S END

  

Before dinner is set,

And the day is done –

Pet the dog on the head

Then watch him run!

 

Watch TV until midnight

All doors are locked –

Quietness rushes in . . .

Chimes from the old clock!

 

The bed is turned down

We’ll be asleep soon –

Prayers said for the day,

A quick peep at the moon!

 

The world passes by,

As I begin to dream –

Only here the mind can rest,

Without some evil scheme!

 

Tomorrow is another day,

And troubles we will face –

Remember God is in control,

And He gives us grace!
