ACCEPTING REALITY

 

“Winter is here, winter is here,

   Accept it, accept it, and accept it!

Nothing can change reality of facts”

   So all we can do is go with it.

 

It’s time for the earth to find rest –

   So in your heart accept it gladly,

And then your mind can find rest

   As the world goes on sadly.

 

“Winter is here, I’ll say it again!”

   Look at our world – it’s gone crazy!

So look at winter as your friend . . .

   Then kick back and just be lazy.

 

“Seasons change – soon a new year!”

   The flowers are dead, and I’m sad –

But it’s reality that I hold so dear,

   And when spring comes I’ll be glad!
