TRUST ME

 

Shall I ask you who you love?

   Who was it that broke your heart?

Or who didn’t listen to your needs

   When sadness tears you apart!

 

Just one small favor that I ask . . .

   Was it you he wanted to know?

Did he see the passion in your eyes?

   And that you had a heart of gold!

 Remember I’m the one, who cares,

   Even if I don’t always understand,

For I hear every word that you speak,

   And I have faults like every man!

 

It was not me that broke your heart –

And to trust again – you have to start!
