LIFE'S TANGLED WEB

 

I read the book – I know how it ends

   Then I put it back on the shelf –

But the words are written on my heart

   A reflection of God, and not of self,

Wisdom beyond words I can’t define!

   On golden threads God has weaved,

So the simplest mind can understand

   The infinite taste of love it leaves.

 

A light unto my path – with each step,

   (A guide of what to do),

A journey through life’s tangled web,

   To a place of peace that I can view!

In moments of despair I have His book

   When the world has let me down –

So I can find what matters in this life,

   Where only the truth can be found!
