WE ONLY GO AROUND ONCE

  

Carefree and incautious go I,

   As though my mind is out to lunch –

And, my thought is, I only live once

   What’s the point in having too much?

      But of course there lies the question

      Am I going in the right direction –

      We only go around once!

 

What is the point in being too cautious?

   It’s like a hammer trying to hit a nail –

An impetuous nature – I need to live!

   There’s more to life than checking the mail,

      Complacency I oppose

      When I’m old I can dozes –

      We only go around once!
