A WOUNDED SOUL

I heard a

heart crying

cries in the night

as if to say:

“I am lonely”

so I cry

do you hear me?

I need love

I need you to care

I need you to feel

my pain!

it’s too much

for me to bear

a wounded soul

that has nowhere

to run

do you hear me?

I once loved

and was loved

but now

no one cares

tossed away

like I’m trash

to endure alone

to cry alone

in despair

because no one

cares anymore

do you hear me?
