REMEMBER AMERICA

 

Daisies dancing with lady slippers –

Roses hiding from garden clippers –

Ocean’s secrets of a mermaid –

While the wind plays in fields of sage –

In the distance a church bell rings,

And unfaithful lovers have flings!

From the mountaintop I stand high –

Then I hear our nation’s cry!

Remember America when she began,

Come one! Come all! Here is my land –

Purple mountains – meadows of sage –

God’s promises written on every page!

From the mountaintop I stand cry –

What happened – please tell me why!
