Why
Do we die?
A question that lingers in my head!
In dying we should rejoice . . .
So why is it something we dread?
But for one we have no choice!
We sit and ponder at the heavens,
As though there is something calling –
If we believe we know we are forgiven,
But to this life we keep on holding!
This world is filled with noisy cars,
People screaming, “Get out of my way!”
And why are there so many stars?
So maybe dying will be a glorious day?
We sit and wait for Gabriel’s call . . .
So shed no tears, and never cry!
The Lord in heaven waits for us all,
And that is why
We must die!
