I am with remorse as I kneel,
But my convictions I’ll never yield!
It’s upon the truth I’ll always stand,
And to God I hear His command!
Tossing my cares to the wind I blame –
But the truth will always remain!
Darkness in a heart I truly know . . .
Like all fears tied with a pretty bow!
In life, it’s each day we have to go,
And regardless the wind will blow!
But my convictions I’ll never yield –
Even if the world breaks my will!
The scars of life that’s my crown,
But peace and contentment I found!
