So
much beauty in this world,
But
none can match a rose uncurled –
Watch
a lily of the field undress
Or
watch a child as they rest –
O,
how this heart beats in me . . .
All
this before my eyes can see –
Water
flowing from a gentle spring,
As
the wind has nothing in can claim –
O!
the beauty everywhere I go,
As
I watch a gentle river flow . . .
It’s
like seeing a baby smile,
I
just sit and watch for a while –
Thoughts
of wonderment are so small
As
I try to understand it all –
But
then, there are no words to say,
Except,
God grant me another day –
“If
I could paint a world for you,
And
in my eyes, you could see, too,
That
God gave this beauty to us . . .
But
it’s only in Him that we can trust!”
