GOD DECIDED

 

A little tin soldier until I was ten

Whatever my dad said I knew I’d win –

But with no reason of his own

God decided to call him home . . .

This is when my world fell apart!

Anger, and sadness filled my heart –

He was the smartest man I ever knew

Because he always asked God what to do!

This journey has not always been easy,

And understanding of life was hard to see –

I remember the things that I was taught,

But conformity I guess I’ll always bulk!

Then I can say these words with pride:

“My dad gave me wisdom before he died!”
