SUSURRUS

 

I will be quiet today and listen,

And I know where my strength lies –

It all comes from the Lord,

Which is the ruler of my soul!

 

I will listen to the spirit in me,

For the Holy Spirit never sleeps –

Behold, the Maker of all things:

The one who dressed all the Lilies!

 

I will never surrender to the world:

The Lord alone watches over me –

“He guides the path on which I walk,

And protects me while I sleep!”

 

It’s the Lord I will always praise –

For He alone knows my heart,

It’s only He I need to please, and

Listen to His whispers in the leaves!
