simple mind should understand,
And
surely has eyes to see –
That
a heart needs someone to love,
And
that is truly you and me!
But
we go through life pretending
That
we are all big and bad!
Why
do we deceive ourselves?
All
it does is leave us sad . . .
A
simple mind should understand,
Even
if we love or lose –
At
least we gave it our best shot!
There
are so many – just choose,
And
who knows, we could win –
Love
can become our greatest fan!
