MY LIAISON

 

When I’m gone

Please forgive me if I did you wrong –

I’m sure there were some good years

All the good times, and all the tears!

We can never predict the unknown,

And we never know when we’ll be alone!

When I’m gone

I can only pray that you can carry on –

Just be thankful for the time we had,

And for the memories – please be glad!

“Once a man – twice a child”

Tilt the glass, taste the wine, and smile:

When I’m gone

Just note that God is now my liaison!
