MYSELF TO BLAME

 

I’d like a different thought

   For every time I think –

I look at all the battles I’ve fought!

     Then my mind goes blank –

  I guess it’s time for a drink

    Soon today will turn into night,

    Then it will be one less thought to fight!

 

The world in which my eyes see

   Leaves little hope for mankind –

But that’s just thoughts in me!

     What I can see gives me pain,

   And heartache, for all the souls lost –

     Too many thoughts drive me insane,

     But I just have myself to blame!
