O’ FOOLISH MAN

 

In reality –This life will end!

Then another one will begin –

Matters not if wrong or right

Angels will come in the night,

Then this life will be no more –

St. Peter waits at heaven’s door!

Look at man, O’ so clever . . .

Did you think you’d live forever?

Fortunes made – fortunes lost,

But losing your soul at what cost!

“To everything there is a season,

and a time to every purpose under

the heaven: a time to be born,

and a time to die.” O’ foolish man!
