Why now?
I thought I had erased your memory –
Years have gone by!
I had to move on with life . . .
Why now?
How did you know that I was hurting?
You know I can’t handle this!
You know the guilt I have suffered!
Your family tried to contact me,
But I refused to see you lying there
Helpless and knowing you were dying!
Why now?
I know I didn’t say goodbye!
I had to move on with life . . .
And now you show up in my dream –
“It’s alright
I needed to let you know that I’m okay,
And it was not your fault . . .
Heaven is so beautiful and I’m waiting –
Go back to sleep my precious love,
And know that I will always love you!"
