HELL CAME CALLING

When truth looks like a lie,

When the dark clouds pass on by,

The cold earth beneath me lies,

And in silence I heard your cries!

(Hell came calling today!)

So much evil – that’s no surprise,

Then my soul weeps and sighs,

As we all must absorb it all, then

I heard whispers of God’s call,

And we wait, then time goes on by

Hoping a good man doesn’t die!

Twenty-four seven – day and night,

We know that something isn’t right!

The left-wing liberals spread lies

While a grieving family cries –

Twenty-four seven – night and day,

Tragedy, there’s nothing more to say!

The wind twirls among the flowers,

As arrogant men sits in their towers,

From the sadness we can’t breathe,

And it’s in God we must believe –

(Hell came calling today!)

A life taken, but God has the last say!

FACES OF EVIL

Monday’s face was the same as we started our pace,

Tuesday’s face is when terror rang with total disgrace,

Wednesday’s face humiliated us with sorrow and woe,

Thursday’s face gave us hope as we waited to know,

Friday’s face showed despair as we wept with fear,

Saturday’s face displayed our nation’s eagle with a tear,

And our faces were humbly bowed before God on Sunday

To give us understanding for the evil that came our way.

THAT HURTS ME

Things that leave me blue,

Like an old love I once knew!

We did fit like a glove,

Like rosebuds on the ground

But I was not sure it was love

Because it once let me down

Like a heart filled with pride

Causes two hearts to collide,

You see love is a test

With all the games we play,

Then the heart finds little rest

When troubles fill the day!

I wish I could go back

Maybe I’d not be so slack

Then I’ll wait until

The urge has gone away

But this void I can’t fill

And loneliness will stay

My heart always knew

That love was about you!

But it’s only me to blame

For my eyes couldn’t see

That your heart was in pain

And that truly hurts me!

I’M FISHING

When I mature out

I plan to go fishing –

Sitting on the bank all day,

And do a lot of wishing!

Maybe I will camp out,

And pitch a little tent –

Build a fire to stay warm,

   And smell nature’s scent!

There's something about

The smell of fish frying –

And just being alone

   I need it – I’m not lying!

When I mature out

   I’m fishing – no doubt!

IN HER WORLD

When I take a shower

I wash and I wash

Head to toe, head to toe

Head to toe, head to toe.

But the lady I love

Soaks for hours,

Bubbles fill the tub –

Splash! Splash!

And that

Is how it goes

With her glass of wine

Humming a song . . .

Because –

   There are no clocks

   In her world of time.
