A TIME

TOO MUCH

I think too much!

I’m sensitive to touch! 

   I guess it’s my heart

   Love and all,

   I’m just too serious

   Hoping you’ll call!

   Loneliness sets in

   That’s not right

   Yes, words are mean

   When done for spite!

   Love is crazy

   It tears me apart!

   I’m so sad

   Look at my heart,

   And know this:

I miss your touch,

And I love you too much!

WHO WE TRULY ARE

When our lives are turned upside down,

   And when we have lost all hope –

Its then time to search our souls . . .

   And find out what we truly care about!

In this brief moment of hopelessness

   There’ll be times of doubt and despair,

And we will thank that life is over,

   It’s than that we discover who we are!

It’s here that we turn to our God!

   And we reach to the depths of faith,

Knowing that we have to let it all go,

   And realizes what is truly important!

With faith, we know God is in control,

   And we know He has a better plan!

BETTER THAN DEATH

 

What can I say to you? Life is not

   always bliss.

But we still can choose to live life

   every day

I know life is so unfair, we all struggle,

   so let me say

God will protect you no matter what!

Each morning is renewed with hope -

We all have needs, so tell the world

   to get out of the way!

Choose to be happy – do what is right

   just make a list!

Just know that you are loved more than

Words can ever say – love God and have

   faith!

In life we will win or sometimes we lose,

We just have to take a change, and then

   take a deep breath,

And accept the cards that you were dealt

   because it’s life,

And know that living is better than death!

CHECKING THE BOXES

 

When I say “I love you”

These are not meaningless words!

It just means I love you

More than life itself . . .

When I say “I love you”

These words are said from my heart!

Our disagreements are meaningless

Compared to my love for you . . .

Do I think you are perfect?

No, but you check most of the boxes!

So what more can I say?

When I say “I love you”

What God has put together

No one can ever separate!

CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY

Today is good -

I wouldn’t change a thing if I could!

Rich or poor matters not

Just being happy means a lot!

You see, it all starts in your head -

What a day brings we shouldn’t dread!

So just take inventory of your life

Choose to be happy – turn loose of strife!

We are not guaranteed tomorrow -

Today will have it’s own sorrow!

Today is good -

Make the right choice – I think we should,

And it comes down to this:

“Live today, and be happy, I insist!”

A GOOD MAN

 

 

“I am so heartbroken,” she cries!

   Then comes the tears –

And my life is over it appears,

   Then loneliness brings fears!

O this sadness – how can I bear it?

   All of the years I was his wife –

“Thank You God for a good man!”

   We had a perfect life . . .

Every day was filled with sunshine,

   And every day was such a joy!

Remembering the times we laughed,

   Yes, he was the real McCoy!

 “I am so heartbroken,” she cries!

As she wipes the tears from her eyes.
