CALMNESS SO QUIET
I swam in your passion, from head to feet;
The sound of your voice as love waits there.
Beneath the calmness so quiet and fair;
Lost in your eyes that I can barely speak.
Our hearts play an endless rhapsody,
Each enchanted moment played its part –
All in the midst of a pounding heart,
Then in a quiet whisper, “do you love me?”
So close are two hearts – entwined in love,
Just for a night we’ve left the world behind –
The sheets are wet – hearts weighing a ton,
As the air blows from a ceiling fan above,
And tomorrow I’ll remember you were mine,
Just for a moment – hearts had their fun!
